Using CouldItBe.ai

1. Using the service

These terms apply when you use CouldItBe.ai. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You may use the available tools for lawful personal, educational, and professional review, subject to these terms. No account or paid subscription is required for the current beta.

2. What a report means

Our tools measure patterns and technical characteristics. A report is not proof of human or AI authorship, an authenticity certification, or a determination that someone committed misconduct. Results can be incomplete, misleading, or affected by editing, compression, genre, and other factors. Use independent sources and human judgment. Do not use a report as the sole basis for grading, employment, legal action, or other decisions affecting a person's rights or opportunities.

3. Your material and permissions

You retain your rights in material you review. You must have the rights or permission needed to use it with the selected tool. Local analysis does not grant us ownership of your text or media. Public-link tools retrieve the address you submit temporarily; do not submit private, authenticated, personalized, or sensitive addresses.

4. Optional research and feedback

Using a tool does not enroll you in a study or authorize research collection. Sharing derived measurements requires a separate choice and consent. File or writing studies have their own disclosures and submission consent. When you contribute, you permit m2Dev LLC to process the agreed material for the stated research purpose within the disclosed retention period. You do not transfer ownership. Self-declared source labels remain unverified. Study participation is voluntary; the separate Writing, Audio, and Video studies are limited to adults.

See the Privacy Policy for collection, retention, and deletion. Save your deletion receipt: we cannot recover an anonymous contribution's code for you.

5. Responsible use

Do not use the service to harass people, make knowingly false claims, infringe rights, submit unlawful material, interfere with other users, bypass access or rate limits, or attempt to compromise the service. Do not present a CouldItBe report as a guaranteed origin verdict or an endorsement by m2Dev LLC.

6. Availability and changes

The beta may change, have errors, or become temporarily unavailable. Formats and limits are shown in each tool. Keep your own source files and any exports you need; CouldItBe is not a document-storage or backup service. We may limit access to protect the service or address misuse. Any future paid service will require separately disclosed terms and pricing.

7. Disclaimers and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the beta is provided as available, without guarantees of accuracy, uninterrupted availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. You are responsible for how you interpret and use reports. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude or limit.

8. Site materials and links

m2Dev LLC and its licensors retain rights in the site's software, branding, and original materials, subject to any applicable open-source licenses. You may download and share reports generated through the provided controls, while retaining their limitations and accurately describing their meaning. External sites have their own terms and privacy practices.

9. Updates and contact

We will post revised terms here with an updated effective date. Changes to research uses that require new consent will not be treated as automatically accepted by earlier participants.
